Drive-By Shootings (an experiment related to June's contest)
Advertisements [?]
On the way to North Seattle today, I decided to try a little experiment in spotting photo opportunities, related to next month's contest topic. While driving through Wallingford (a small residential neighborhood), I decided to see how many flower photos I could get without leaving the driver's seat of my car (and, obviously, without blocking any other drivers or making any illegal or dangerous traffic moves). Fortunately, the side streets of Wallingford are slow, not traveled too heavily, and have a lot of houses with gardens, not to mention traffic roundabouts planted by the city and generic "urban wildflowers." I found all the following in about a two-block radius. I'm not planning to use any of them as a contest entry, but I thought they might be interesting as an example of what you might find if you look carefully at your surroundings, whatever they may be.
