There are some filmsies that lurk here that might see this as a sign of the rapture. It's really too bad that companies don't do more to keep film alive..... but I don't see it.
The new Canon 5D and 24-105 lens were designed, in part, with the filmsie in mind. IMO... I think you'll start to see a lot of filmsies chucking the film and getting this setup because it emulates digitally the old "pure film" body/lens setup.
Ms F' keeps asking me why I keep the boxes and boxes of old vinyl. I'll tell her... "because I can't get these albums on CD" (which is partially true)... but then I think.... "yea, why am I keeping all these heavy boxes?"
I've recently sold off all my old "home movie studio" equipment. It was all manual (for the most part) with S-VHS being my end source. Now my "home movie studio" is a computer and a DVD burner. The quality if better and it is waaaaaay faster than the old manual setup.
Oops... too much coffee. What was this discussion about?
