A few years ago, I adopted an alternate persona on an anti-choice internet board to annoy someone. Off the top of my head, I called myself "shedevil".

Only recently did I realize ...

On reversing: when I was in first year university I was quite young, and while very politically conscious and active, quite untutored in many of the ways of the world -- and unaccustomed to using four-letter words. In the course of our battle to have curfews and other rules abolished in women's residence (this was 1969, and men's residence had no rules), I referred to the student head of residence, in conversation with a fellow shit-disturber, as a "prick". My friend informed me that she couldn't be a prick, because she was a woman. I thought that was unfortunate, since it seemed to be exactly what she was.

Maybe we could just start calling C. Rice a prick, and D. Cheney a bitch. And let the heads spin. ;)
