I hate Friedman editorials and New Republic articles titled that, but I would have no objections if Bush took my advice and it actually did keep him from sliding all the way into the toilet.

Ready, Karl Rove?:

Start talking to Iran now. Do it in public, or no one will believe you. (That's the price you pay for lying and doing everything in secret <even though you're such transparent losers, we know what you've been up to all along.>) Resolve the issues between the countries, end the psuedo-clash-of-civilizations, and set it up so the US, Iran, Europe and Iraq's Arab neighbors can work together to cool Iraq down.

It ain't gonna happen because they're too stupid to figure it out, but I'm setting it out here for them to grab and run with if they wise up.
