My 79-year old Mother said today...

...when I talked with her on the phone: "I have NEVER in all my years seen such a God awful mess as we have in this country now. I don't know what you guys are gonna do..."

My Mom lived throught the Great Depression. She's seen some bad times so when she says something like this, I find that very disconcerting, to say the least. I dunno WTF we're gonna do either...
