We (republicans) are in charge. It is our policy that we are more than willing to watch you die and/or lose everything you have, so make an escape plan, keep your bags packed and after that its every man for himself. And if you don't make it out due to lack of time, awareness, physical or mental ability or traffic-jammed roads, well then, its your fault not ours.

It is not within our ability nor is it our responsibility to rebuild anything wiped out by the hurricane. If the poor cannot find a way to rebuild their homes they probably are living in the wrong area and need to move somewhere more suited to their lack of financial ability. (I guess that's why we're doing such a lousy job of rebuilding in Iraq too?)

You can agree or disagree, but that's basically what I got out of his appearance. And the Bush administration continues to be a disgrace.
