I overheard this little gem just now in the lobby of a hotel in Sioux Falls, SD, where I accompanied my new "gentleman friend", to the chess tournament he's playing in (I'm able to do my own thing instead of having to watch hours of chess moves, which is fine with me!) At first, I thought the gentleman was kidding, but soon discovered he was quite serious. Not wanting to further the chances of losing my dinner, I refrained from making any comments, although I certainly had some choice expletives in mind, lol.

South Dakota is much more liberal than you might think, despite the abortion ban, which I think will lose in the statewide vote next week. And certainly, Sioux Falls and the eastern part of the state are the most liberal. There appears to be a lot of support for both local and national Dems here. So it was especially discouraging to hear that kind of talk. I simply cannot believe anyone in their right mind would even consider such a possibility, hasn't that damned family done enough damage to this country to last several lifetimes? And anyone who still supports Dim Son at this point in time needs some serious lockdown time in a psychiatric hospital, as far as I'm concerned.

The scary thing is, with voter fraud and those damned, infernal machines produced by repubs who've publicly proclaimed their intention to help their compatriots maintain their grip on power, we just might be faced with such a possibility. In that case, I think I'll either swallow some cyanide or disappear and hide in a remote part of Antarctica somewhere!
