For daring to suggest that National Service would be a good thing. "You're not taking my Child, you SOB!" despite the fact that a two year stint performing national service in this Country might be beneficial to the majority of the kids I know. The Military could be a, but not the only option. I can't believe people are going apeshit, what they think we want a six million man Army? There are only so many billets, they can't fill any more than that, everyone else would have to go to Americorps. Peace Corps, etc.

Oh well, it's a non starter. We'd rather live with decaying infrastructure, understaffed day care centers, old age homes, who cares?
