Cheney is going to testify as a defense witness in Fitzgerald's case against I "Scooter" Libby in the CIA leak case. That ought to be interesting. Wonder if he'll shoot any lawyers while he's there.

Speaking of the bionic Veep - what's up with the dead deer on the lawn of his Naval Observatory residence in DC? Did he violate DC hunting laws and shoot it himself? Strangle it? Mor importantly, why has it been left to rot and decompose for days? Is he observing some strange ancient holiday ritual? Perhaps it is the Cheney's idea of a festive Christmas decoration.

When asked about the decaying beast at today's White House briefing, Tony Snow first declined to comment, then denied rumors that Cheney slaughtered the animal, insisting that the deer was simply resting, or maybe pining for the fjords.
