14. Hitler thought the British were also a Germanic people, so
he did not hate them on racial grounds. That is what Buchanan, in his simple-minded way, is referring to. However, sooner or later, Hitler would have wanted Britain's empire. That was Hitler's nature. -- Lebensraum was his goal.

Besides, even though the USSR and Hitler supposedly made a pact, they would have fought and all of Europe would have been drawn into that war and at a time when the allies would have been weakened. Buchanan does not know what he is talking about.

In addition, Hitler needed military victory to keep his own people in line. He needed to imprison the Jews in order to give their property to the Germans and give the false appearance of prosperity. And once he had imprisoned them, he had to either feed them and provide for them or kill them. Buchanan has not thought Hitler's predicament through. The death camps were an inevitability as soon as Hitler arrested the Jews en masse for nothing. Why he is on TV, why anyone ever listens to him is utterly beyond me. He has no clue.
