sadly, that's the way this could be framed. and they'd be right. I think a lot of people are going to back him from the political arena because they really don't want the Clintons in the White House again. Obama seems to be the best chance, so they're getting behind him. I hope polls will show the grassroots surge of Edwards backers, of course 18-24% is pretty good in a 3 person race, I just wish he'd go up 5-10 points in the next week!
