THere is only the earned delegate count because those delegates are committed by the state's primary or caucus procedure.
A so-called 'superdelegate' can change their mind at ANY TIME, including just before the first ballot at the Convention, and after the first ballot they can change allegiance.
THat is why Hillary was so worried about the N.H. outcome --any of those who had said they would vote for her as a superdelegate could change their minds.
