If Obama dropped out, his supporters would probably also switch to Edwards.

I think Edwards is in a catch 22 here. I think his supporters would probably evenly split between Clinton and Obama. He is the "other" candidate for people who don't want to vote Clinton or Obama, and he is the second candidate for those who choose between Clinton or Obama as their first pick.

But as the situation stands now, he is stuck in third place.
