Unfortunately, sad to say, this country is too racially prejudiced to elect a black man as president, and it's questionable that they will elect a woman. If McCain wins the nomination, and they can keep Iraq looking somewhat peaceful over the next year, he will win against both Hillary or Obama.
But, the Dem base is more concerned with party purity, so we're kind of stuck, and I think we very well could lose because of that. I could live with any of the Dems (although I think it's foolish to say a guy whose highest office was a state senator role up until 2 years ago is qualified to be president), but Edwards is the only one that can prevail.
NH should have shown us that people lie like a rug to pollsters. I learned it the hard way working on state GLBT issues. People don't want to appear prejudiced or biased to pollsters, but when they get in the voting booth they have no problem showing their true bigoted colors.
