33. She is not one of the most powerful Senators
She has little seniority in a body where that matters. People that most people never heard of have more power in getting important stuff though Congress. I really don't see HRC being given the Senate Majority post because she almost won the nomination. Do you remember any effort to make Kerry, who narrowly lost after easily winning the nomination. Majority leader? In fact, there was a whisper campaign - traceable (as always) to the Clinton wing, that bashed him as soon as the Senate was back is session for thinking he had claim to being a Democratic spokesman at all. If anything, she'll have less power because she will no longer be a potential President.
