How many 24 year old men of color go to jail (REAL jail, not club fed) for far less? How many of THEM are now *written off*?
He should have had prison time for the marijuana possession -- IF we had a truly democratic and FAIR judicial system. He should have gotten jail time for breaking his mother's back -- but again the money smoothed the way. Now he actually hurt someone who didn't allow the *money* to ease her pain -- And he gets a *year*? What would the average 24 year old minority get for the damage he's inflicted *this time*.
