and to have lower approval ratings than Bush is pretty lame in my book.

No Democrats BACKED into office because America was fed up with Republicans, not swallowing the BS that Pelosi and the DLC/DCCC crowd were spewing to us. There's probably not much they could have said differently save "they're joining the Republican Party" that would have kept them from taking congress in 2006. The reason they ran the election they did, was because they could keep their corporate paymasters happy with those positions, NOT us!
