is a rarity in our school building.

Many of our students are the responsible ones.

many parents are gang bangers, druggies, running from the law or landlords or bills, kids having kids and ready to blame the school for every little problem in their life.

Our kids, are doing the best they can. It is a wonder they are even consistent in attendance and grades when most of the students are babysitters, work jobs to help with bills and groceries ect...

Just last week I had an 8th grade girl tell me her parents would not let her enroll in High School because she was needed to stay home to babysit the 2 year old because they couldn't afford day care.

YES most of my students are illegals ... they are still worth teaching and it is not their fault the parents are how they are.
