29. Yep...Al's Still DLC To My Knoweldge
Many supported Bill Bradley in '00 due to Gore's "establishment" and DLC connections. Also there were the allegations of the teas for big bucks and the Buddist Temple...also if Gore was an Alpha Male...the distortions started early and often, and sadly, Gore tried to fight them.

I'm Jewish as well and I think, in retrospect, many of us didn't see Joe as a neo-con...he wasn't a signatory to the PNAC resolution, but that he was definitely Pro-Israel, but nowhere as bellicose as he became. Remember that there was still a peace process underway and it served Joe's political ambitions to be supportive of the process. Once it broke down, he made his own break. Then came the '04 Presidential run...where he was all but run out of the race early and his '06 primary loss...and his ego got all bent out of shape.

My bets are that Bob Schrum...who ran Gore's campaign...had a lot to say in Joe's selection.
