Tuesday March 13 2007
The US Attorney General, AKA Bush's Tejano, Alberto Gonzales, went in front of the microphones today to answer questions about his questionable and highly political firing of eight Federal Attorneys across the country. As is usual for key members of the Bush Crime Family, Gonzales "took responsibility" for some vague, undefined, weirdly dreamlike activity of some sort, somewhere, that may have needed an explanation or then again not, or could have been bizarre, but then again not, and besides Gonzales made it clear he was a man who worked hard to get where he is now, which is, well, we're not sure are we, and what was the question again?
It's the same maddening pattern with these punks, these criminals, these Bush Administrations flacks: Stand in front of brain-dead reporters, recite a litany of charges made by people who obviously support the terrorists; you know, Democrats, liberals, antiwar Americans, people who believe in the rule of law - the real rule of law, not the crap force-fed to Americans since John Ashcroft completely polluted the office of Attorney General. And, once finished with the bullshit, take a few frantic questions, repeat over and over that yes, the responsibility rests with him (or the military's Surgeon General, or the head of FEMA, or the latest general to get his ticket punched in Iraq, or whoever it is who is covering up and hiding his or her utter incompetence as a member of this corrupt administration) and he will make absolutely, positively certain that "it" never happens again. Ever. Promise. Really.
And earlier today the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, gets his foreskin caught in his zipper (metaphorically speaking, of course) and heaps personal contempt and disrespect on the approximately 65,000 members of the US military who are, in addition to the usual noncombatant jobs required to maintain an imperialist global fighting force, are also killing and dying for Bush and Cheney in Iraq and Afghanistan. General Pace should resign. Gonzales should resign. Cheney should resign. Every one of these incompetent, disrespectful, arrogant sons-of-bitches should resign. Or be impeached by the responsible Democrats we put in office last November. The responsible . . . Democrats . . . we . . . put . . . oh, never mind.
Speaking of which, where were those responsible, fighting, Democratic leaders today? What sort of political dance were they performing for us dizzy, frustrated, ready-to-hang-it-up rank and file Democrats? Were they spouting the usual political cliches reserved for these moments when they are just shocked! shocked, I tell you, at the latest example of political ineptness by another of Bush's inner circle of would-be fascists?
Yawn.
Join me tonight for another bloodletting.
