13. Congrats To My Hoosier Neighbors...Welcome To A New Blue World
One of the big winners last night, was my travel itinerary. I've avoided any trips or doing much, if any, business in a Red state...even forcing dude who wanted me in on their biz to move their meetings to Chicago or a Blue state. In 2004, we scrapped a Disneyworld vacation to Florida and went to California instead. Now my world, and theirs (IMHO) has expanded!

The key here is that the Democrats ignored the large Democratic base vote...blacks, unions, in the Northwest part of the state. So many elections were "decided" for this state that the party let thousands of propsective voters slip away. Not this year...an excelent ground game showed here as well as the Obama campaign being based in Chicago. Last week I had talked to a couple who had canvassed all over the state and predicted this would happen.

Congrats Indiana, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Nevada, North Carolina, Colorado and welcome back to Iowa and New Mexico...it's a big blue world out here today!
