on the sabbath?

Homosexuality is not one of the big 10, but keeping the sabbath is. At most, the bible directs me not to have sex with my own gender. It does not require me to prevent others from so doing. It certainly does not prevent me from raising orphans or require me to prevent others from raising orphans.

However....

Exodus 20 (the Ten Commandments portion)

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

So, why all the amendments to state constiutions preventing gay marriage and not a word about making everyone keep the sabbath?

Hmmmmm?
