And sorry, but 95% of DUers in a recent poll here, voted their support for gay marriage. Not for civil unions, for marriage.

Some of us see civil unions as a stepping stone to marriage and believe that although it's not equal, it's better than nothing. And in some places, it's possible to get civil unions enacted and not marriage. Doesn't mean you give up on marriage, but are you actually suggesting that civil unions should be stripped from people because it's not marriage? No, of course, you're not. So please think when you're indignantly trashing civil unions. You're not doing anyone any favors when you do.
