The automotive corporation pension funds have been decimated. As to the health insurance programs, I don't even know who is supposed to pick up the tab.

This is getting ridiculous.

Why not declare Chapter 11 and begin to restructure and work down the incredible debt? Even if we provide help now, it won't do anything to ameliorate the real problem, which is the gargantuan debt they've accrued.
