15. if you dont like hot...
stay out of Boise and live at slightly higher elevations (like Moscow). Boise will get to 100 degrees and as low as 20 in the winter. But I can assure you those temperatures feel much, much more mild than the east coast equivalent. (I also grew up in DC and went to school in McLean)
