wolf trapping near Denali. Some of it was pretty sick - trapped animals stay in traps for days or weeks before they starve or are shot by the arriving trapper. It described one wolf eating dirt and rocks until she broke all her teeth, and lost 15% of her body weight.

Although this article is about the illegal use of this sort of trap, I'm starting to think that this form of huntng should be banned or limited. It causes a great deal of suffering that could be avoided by choosing other methods...
