I remember the WTO global summit meetings where the protests started out with all of the different peaceful organizations protesting peacefully, then in a little while the rioters/agents/provocateurs show up and start hurling bottles and fighting with the police.

Had the protests gone according to plan, the message would have gotten out. Because those masked rioters began displaying violence and causing problems, the message never really got out. All the news aired was the violence.

Some people have theories on this other than just me. If you search WTO+"black masks" you can find quite a bit of information about it. They have disrupting peaceful protests for years now. I'm highly suspicious of them because they seem to show up at every peaceful protest and do not seem to be affiliated with the individual movements.
