Bachmann’s N.H. Staff Quits En Masse
Advertisements [?]
Michele Bachmann’s New Hampshire campaign team has called it quits, leaving he GOP hopeful without paid staff in the state that holds the first-in-the-nation presidential primary.

The news was first reported by ABC affiliate WMUR, and was quickly confirmed by Reuters. In total, roughly a half dozen paid staffers resigned en masse out of frustration with the campaign or, as WMUR puts it, because they felt “constantly betrayed and even lied to.”

The staff, however, stressed that they are still fans of Bachmann and that they had considered leaving earlier this year but stuck around out of loyalty to the congresswoman.

The departures are the latest in a string for the Minnesota Republican’s presidential campaign, which appears to have peaked at the exact moment she won an Iowa straw poll this summer before promptly falling out of favor with many Republican voters and, subsequently, the media.
