The CIA has raided four offices of the Iraqi National Congress
The CIA has raided four offices of the Iraqi National Congress, the INC spokesman reports in a press release:

The Iraqi National Congress today announced that the US Central Intelligence Agency led raids on four INC facilities recently. Three INC offices in Baghdad were attacked on Thursday and the INC office in Najaf was attacked last week by heavily armed US civilians accompanied by masked Iraqis. The offices were vandalized, a number of staff were assaulted, and equipment and documents were stolen. Staff members who requested to see search warrants were beaten and abused and no warrants were produced.

CIA operatives in Iraq are out of control and are operating outside the bounds of American and Iraqi law. The CIA is failing in its duty to protect US forces and the Iraqi people from terrorists and is attacking groups and individuals who point out its failures.

The INC will take action in the Iraqi legal system to force the CIA and its Iraqi agents to act within the law. The INC appeals to the US government to stop the CIA from engaging in political vendettas and rededicate itself to fighting America's true enemies.

1. What? The CIA operating outside of the law? I'm shocked, shocked...

So now Bush has written off the *entire* INC? Weren't they the ones Bush was going to hand Iraq over to orginally? Talk about plans falling through...

I suppose this has something to do with the INC being Iranian spies. I guess the Bushes should have checked out all that stuff ahead of time, eh?

13. What goes around, comes around.
Death to mercenaries
and mercenarios publicistas.

But the CIA had also assigned Rendon a far more delicate task: to help organize, advise, and stage-manage the Iraqi opposition. After the Gulf war, there weren't many available anti-Saddam vehicles. Under pressure from Congress, the CIA seized on well-connected, smooth-talking London businessman Ahmad Chalabi and tried to help him unite Shia and Sunnis, Kurds and Arabs, exiles and dissidents, into a popular front called the Iraqi National Congress (INC). Rendon wasn't exactly the brains of the operation--Chalabi ran the group--but he was the man whispering in Chalabi's ear. "The INC was clueless. They needed a lot of help and didn't know where to start. That is why Rendon was brought in," says Thomas Twetten, the CIA's former deputy director of operations. Rendon helped Chalabi choose the group's English name, and he organized an INC conference in Vienna. When INC representatives came to Washington in July 1992 to meet with Brent Scowcroft and James Baker, Rendon advised them on what to say and how to say it. He even assigned them one of the field operatives from Walter Mondale's 1984 presidential bid. "The whole mindset is that you're involved in a campaign," says an ex-Rendon employee. "You've got all the trappings and a similar apparatus."

John Rendon and the CIA-funded INC are being dismantled now.
Blackwater and other private military groups soon to follow.
Death to mercenaries.
The beer is on me.

10. This is ONE BIG CHARADE. Chalabi wants to APPEAR as Bush's foe in Iraq
so that Iraqis will be duped into voting for him. That way, either way, Bush has a puppet in place, Allawi OR Chalabi.

Did any of you REALLY buy the distancing of Bush from Chalabi? If they wanted Chalabi for feeding them bad info, then they would HAVE Chalabi in custody right now.
