By Reuters

WASHINGTON -- Viacom Inc. has agreed to pay a $3.5 million fine to settle complaints that it broadcast indecent material on its radio stations, the FCC said Tuesday.

The agreement covers several incidents dating as far back as 1999, in which radio personalities, including Howard Stern and Opie & Anthony, discussed sexual topics on stations owned by Viacom's Infinity Broadcasting radio network.

It does not cover singer Janet Jackson's breast-baring during the Super Bowl halftime show last February on Viacom's CBS television network.

3. Let me get this straight...
Boobs, sex talk, and discussion - BAD

Graphic violence, indoctrination, outright lies, state media, corruption, advertisement everyhwere - GOOD

4. Well, you know, the flak about ABC pulling "Saving Private Ryan"
was about the foul language in the movie. ABC was concerned that the language would give massive fines to them.

Now, the footage of the guy that Tom Hanks pulls over, and his face is blown clean off, that's okay. In fact, many of the e-mails to the Akron Beacon Journal (regarding the pulling) were saying that ABC was pulling a bunch of liberal strings in the wake of the FCC. No comment about the actual violence and gore.

Oh, there is one aspect of violence that the stations will not show - flag-draped coffins . . .
