Bill "Kitty" Frist's Campaign Lost $500,000 In Market
MSNBC 12/2

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's campaign committee lost more than $500,000 in the stock market since the 2000 election and could not cover a bank loan that came due in August, records showed.

Campaign treasurer Linus Catignani said U.S. Bank "rolled over" the $360,000 load and the money is now due in 2007. U.S. Bank spokesman Steve Dale said the company does not comment on individual loans.

(later in article): Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibilty and Ethics in Washingto, D.C., questioned whether the bank provided special privileges to Frist. "Are the policies U.S. Bank used to extend his loan the same as what is offered to members of the public?" she said.

Yeah, right.

1. These politicians are allowed to invest this campaign
money in order to make profits? What is wrong with this picture?

4. Hey,
If we can do it with our Social Security dollars, why shouldn't they with their campaign dollars? Obviously, it's SO successful! :eyes:

5. Sure, why not?
Isn't that what they're planning on doing with Social Security?

Of course, if the stock market doesn't work there is always the dog track.
