'US attracted al-Qaeda to Iraq'
The United States struggled before the war to convince the world there was a link between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda network, but five months of US-led occupation of Iraq may have created precisely such an unholy alliance.

Stripped of their privileged positions under the ousted dictator's brutal regime, Saddam's henchmen may finally have thrown in their lot with their ideological adversaries in Osama bin Laden's terror network to wage war on their common foe, analysts say.

A quartet of arrests made by Iraqi police immediately after a massive car bombing that killed 83 people in the Shi'ite Muslim holy city of Najaf last week provided the hardest evidence yet of the fledgling marriage of convenience between Saddam and the militants.

1. again...how do we know the truth?
Certainly the media has proved you can't trust the talking mouthpiece for this admin.
It makes the selling of war easier if you say all the terrorist are in Iraq. But then again...why would they?

What these guests say it is doubtful any Iraqi resistance fighter would open thier arms up and accept some strangers from a foreign country let alone from a different part of Iraq because they'd know the CIA/Military would be trying to infiltrate them.

Do you remember CNN TV, just in the later stages of 'The Butchering' or 'Bush Crimes Against Humanity', they had a Marine Corp. Lt. Colonel (?) often on. He was one of the only I could stomach listneing too. The last time I saw him and the last words he said, (paraphrase) 'When the war is over and Iraqis see the routines the US soldiers do; patols; check-points; movements; it will be the problem.'

And that was the last time I ever saw this Lt. Colonel on TV.

(He's a younger guy, about 35-43)

3. well DOH!!! we all knew this would happen
Im just some old lady in Michigan, but had they asked me I would have been glad to advise them of the stupidity of their invasion in a sovereign ME country that had never attacked us, and how BY attacking it would open a hornets nest of anger from every muslim extremist on earth...a magnet for extremism...
NO....we all knew what would happen, but we are merely a focus group and we dont know anything..

Now we all have to bear the price and brunt of the ignorance of the BFEE and their darkforce agenda.

4. they call it fly paper
but luring Al Qaida and other groups to confront us in dusty Iraq, we distract their focus from atacking people in LA or St. Louis or Buffalo. Or so the theory goes. It will only last intil the next U.S. based terrorist attack, but for now that's the plan, Stan.
