AP: Iraq expert thinks major clans of Fallujah now in feud with USA
AP via http://www.jordantimes.com/mon/news/news4.htm

But Juan Cole, an Iraq expert at the University of Michigan, said mending fences in Fallujah will be a tough task.

“I think the Americans have incurred a long-term feud with all the major clans of Fallujah,” he said. “

But in a Baghdad school where Ibrahim and about 200 displaced Fallujah residents now live, the talk is not of gratitude but of vendetta — not against the insurgents but against the Americans and the Iraqi government.

“I feel hatred. I hurt. This is my city and it has been destroyed,” Ibrahim said as he sat on a thin mattress on the floor of a room he shares with his wife, seven children and another family.

“The people of Fallujah are people of revenge. If they don't get their revenge now, they will next year or even after 50 years. But they will get it.” It's probably too early to tell just how much of such talk is simply bravado"

feuds are scary sh*t in the middle east..

7. They've admitted defeat on that playing field.

THE Pentagon has admitted that the war on terror and the invasion and occupation of Iraq have increased support for al-Qaeda, made ordinary Muslims hate the US and caused a global backlash against America because of the “self-serving hypocrisy” of George W Bush’s administration over the Middle East. The mea culpa is contained in a shockingly frank “strategic communications” report, written this autumn by the Defence Science Board for Pentagon supremo Donald Rumsfeld.

I guess were just out to exterminate now.

edit: Used we've instead of they've. I want as much disassociation with their mess as I'm permitted. I didn't vote for him, don't condone the morons actions.

2. Fallujah looks like French and German cities after WWII
Almost totally destroyed. I was flabbergasted by the pictures of devastation in Fallujah. An empty city now ready for elections.

8. Considering the fact that "spreading Democracy" was an afterthought
I would say that this feud doesn't matter a bit to chimp! The Iraqis can pound sand as far a chimp is concerned. He would just as soon see them all dead, less of a bother and not in their way for the control of the oil.
