Nevada officials upset by cut in federal homeland security funds
...this is what the red state gets for only beating Kerry by 2.5%. Of course, maybe Bush doesn't plan to pretend there will be a terrorist attack in Vegas this New Year's either. Remember how Vegas yelled afterwards at how the false alarm harmed their business by Homeland Security invading their guests privacy in hotels by demanding their guests names?

LAS VEGAS Nevada officials say they're puzzled that the state's due to get 22 percent less in federal homeland security funding next year than it did this year.
That's after they were notified the state's allocation of homeland security money will decrease from 36 (M) Million dollars this year to 28 (M) Million next year.

1. Bet Bush is sending them a present of some nu-ku-ler waste, too
Poor Nevada: all those Dem voter registrations thrown out and other election shenanigans, and this is the thanks they get. I'm betting they get that glow-in-the-dark mountain, too -- maybe they can turn it into another tourist attraction?
