US-led forces must speed up 'exit strategy' from Iraq : Musharraf
LONDON (AFP) - Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said US-led multinational forces should hasten their departure from Iraq (news - web sites) by training local troops more quickly.

Musharraf, speaking in the House of Commons during an official visit to Britain, said training Iraqis would provide an "exit strategy" for the foreign troops.

"It should speed up the process of raising the Iraqi security forces," he said Tuesday. "They will allow an exit strategy."

The Pakistani general opposed the US and British-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, but said his country would consider helping to train the Iraqi soldiers.

1. And Musharraf should surrender and hold elections
Oh, I'm sorry. Mushmouth is a dictator and elections will not happen as long as he controls the military.

2. There are plenty of well trained Iraqis. They're just on the other side.
There seems to be some disgruntlement in Pakistan about Mushhead
retaining control of the Army, but I guess he would not last too
long without that.

5. And the Bush administration.......
never had any intentions of having an exit strategy - not as long as the oil is there. They have no plans to exit until the wells are dry.
