2. It's a crazy story to read,
and even crazier when you've met her before! This one hit too close to home for me.

7. This should be in the lounge (I think)... after all,
not only would I be able to announce my condolances for that horrifying situation, but I could have a field day discussing the obvious double entendre for that subject line. :wow:

8. does one have to be religious to survive an accident?
if there were not any religious stuff in her car, would they have just said she was lucky?

I don't know why this annoyed me, but it did. not about her experience, that is horrible that it happened and wonderful that she is okay, what annoys me is the article.

10. If she had an angel as her co-pilot - how come he didn't stop her
from running a stop sign??

I get so sick of all this frikkin' religiosity being stuffed down our throats :grr:

11. me too. that's it. religiosity.
why is that an important part of the story? I want to know about who called 911, was she able to talk, what did she have to say if she could, what is her prognosis, etc...

Sticker on the rearview? so if I get in an accident is my magnet going to be quoted?

"I don't drink, but I smoke crack like motherfucker."

12. That's one of the first things
that cross my mind whenever I see somebody claim that god saved them from their own actions, or an accident - why didn't god prevent the action or accident from happening in the first place?

13. Was it the plastic Jesus on her dashboard?
The silliness of the religious right never ceases to amuse me.

Now they are actually putting forward the notion that Mel Gibson's Jesus's Chainsaw Massacre won't win an Oscar because of its religious topic. Baloney. The film was a gratuitous violence-fest that could have been infinitely more interesting had it actually explored the story and not the blood-letting.

14. Heh
If she hadn't run through a stop sign and hit another car, there would be no need of having a "co-pilot." And I will betcha in all likelihood that she had a cell phone glued to her ear.
