100s Attend Funeral of Rock Star Killed in Car Crash Involving US Marine
CLUJ, Romania (AP) - Hundreds of fans turned out Tuesday in this Transylvanian city for the funeral of a Romanian rock star killed in a car accident involving a U.S. Marine, who has immunity from prosecution and later left the country.
...
Prime Minister Adrian Nastase appealed to President Bush on Tuesday to help bring the Marine to justice by waiving his immunity from prosecution. He added that the Marine's departure from Romania after the accident has caused outrage.

Nastase said the Marine would "have a fair and equal treatment" in Romanian courts.
...
Romania had asked American authorities to hand over the Marine for questioning. The Marine allegedly failed to yield at an intersection and hit a taxi Friday night in Bucharest, police said. A breath test showed the Marine had been drinking, police said.
...
The State Department said Monday that the United States is cooperating with the Romanians as they conduct their investigation. He said the Marine Corps also is conducting it's own investigation.

4. My tenant is from Transylvania. Her behavior around Halloween has
always been a wee bit suspicious.

She is a film grad student who has been awarded the PHD program, who teaches biology and speaks 5 languages.

Bit of an anomoly.

3. Or DC
A Georgian diplomat several years ago was driving drunk and caused an accident that killed a teenage girl. (Basically, he was driving about 95 mph through Dupont Circle, hit another car, which then flew into the air and landed atop the vehicle in which the girl was riding.) There was a hell of a fuss about it, but eventually Georgia (the former Soviet state) allowed him to be tried. I think he'll be in prison for a good, long time.

Obviously, this is what the U.S. should be doing instead of helping him escape the country.

and of course our actions being more accepted by our allies. :eyes: Yeah ... the same ones the Idiot-King requests assistance from in his quest to conquer the world.

So now our soldiers can be as complacent and irresponsible as Chimpy-in-Chief.
