Bush to Undergo Physical on Saturday
WASHINGTON -- President Bush will undergo the fourth physical of his presidency on Saturday at the National Naval Medical Center, the White House said Thursday.

Bush normally has his annual checkup in August. White House press secretary Scott McClellan said the four-month delay was the result of a hectic campaign travel schedule this summer and fall as the president was running for re-election.

"It's pretty straightforward," McClellan said. "The president had a busier travel schedule than usual this summer. Like many Americans, he talked with his doctor about when would be a good time to do it and they both felt it was perfectly fine to do it later in the year."
...
After the physical, Bush is to remain at the Bethesda, Md., medical center to visit with Marines and sailors recovering there from injuries suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan, McClellan said.

1. A busier travel schedule? Like his days off after each debate?
Remember the second debate? The get-in-gibson's-face routine? He was so fatigued he took the next day off. Didn't see a doctor, nothing.

Then they revised that story to say he was just "enjoying" a day off from his hectic schedule.

Let's all predict a rosy diagnosis from his doctor :eyes:

It's absorbed faster than that.

I don't know about psychotropic meds though. He'll probably need them after he strolls through the cas ward, though.

Cheney's bony hand clearly visible.....Manipulating the strings that control shrub's mouth, hands, and ethics.
Open jaws of Joe Lieberman's skull apparent in the background--palpating it seems, with many other (dozens) skulls waiting in line....Condeleeza, Rummy, Kenny Boy, Clarence T., Antonin, Biden, Newt, P. Jennings, Barbara Sr. & Poppy (B's hand at back of GHW's skull--working as a team?), Howell Raines, Judy Miller, Rev. moon, and MANY others....

16. for once, I'd like to be the Dr. who administers the hernia exam
Of course, since dummies are allowed to run the country, an untrained computer programmer should be allowed to administer the exam.

First, I will need the correct instruments - for the hernia exam, I will need the press they use for mammograms

And for lubrication for the other "exam", I will need a full bottle of your finest hot sauce to coat the glove . . .

19. National Naval Medical Center. GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE?
What the fuck is he thinking? Everyone knows 'government' health care sucks. Republicans are constantly telling me how awful health care is in Canada and Britain. Why would a man as wealthy as idiot-boy get free government health-care when a private doctor paid for with private insurance would obviously be better?

23. They sure love Bethesda, though
They go there for all sorts of surgery, elective and otherwise. Hernias, mini face lifts, liposuction, you name it. When Bethesda had a little problem with their blood bank a few years back (they gave BAD blood to a preemie) the usage went down by Congress, and instead they drifted over to Johns Hopkins, but now they are BAAAAAAAACK. I'm sure the admiral running the joint is "overjoyed" (not). And every time a Congressman or higher goes over there for anything, the Chief of Naval Operations has to interrupt his schedule to "stop by and say hi."

It is a disruptive process for the people who have to work there every day. Spit and polish personnel inspections, a great deal of office/public area cleaning and reorganizing, and a shitload of angst for people who are already overtasked. Joy to the world!

22. maybe he was on medication, for among other things, liver disease due to
alcohol intake... maybe they wanted to make sure his hallucinations were subdued before the gave him a physical...and maybe they've already typed into a word processor whatever propaganda fantasy about bush's GOOD HEALTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL that they want to release to the public. I for one don't think that they will let us even one sniff, or one whiff, of what is actually in bush's medical record. think national guard records.

which is a really slow heart beat. This is probably because his heart is nearly non-existant.

44. Graves is a stroke risk factor (as is cocaine abuse) which could account
for that box that looks exactly like a wearable defibrillator on his back. George Sr. also wore a defibrillator in the past after being hospitalized for heart trouble; while Cheney had one prior to his pacemaker implantation.

That is the first I have heard that idea. A defibrillator. I would totally believe it except for the fact that it's so apparent by the way he delivers his lines that he is being cued, that I am sure the hump is a transmitter.

32. The Problem Is
even if he shows up and takes his physical and the doctor finds something, he will be proclaimed to be in perfect health.

There is no way in hell they will ever tell us the truth...even if he had a some terrible disease.

Cheney would just rule and Bush would be the figure head...come to think of it...they are most likely doing that already.
