Kerry to visit troops in Iraq
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry will travel to Iraq next month as the war-torn country prepares for elections.

The Massachusetts senator, who lost his bid for the presidency in November, is expected to visit several Middle East countries, with the focus on the situation in Iraq and the war on terror.

A decorated Vietnam War veteran, Kerry also plans to meet with U.S. troops, including some from Massachusetts, to thank them for their services, spokeswoman April Boyd said Thursday.

During the campaign, Kerry criticized President Bush's handling of the Iraq war. Although Kerry voted in October 2002 to give Bush the authority to wage war, he later voted against additional funds for Iraq and Afghanistan reconstruction, arguing that the commander in chief didn't have a solid plan to restore peace.

4. I'd like to see how the troops react to him
If we can get some honest coverage. The will probably play a soundtrack of boos over his speech to make it seem like he wasn't welcomed.

5. Atleast he'll make * look bad and the fight against the GOP must go on.
While many of us are still recoiling with a sense of betrayal by the DNC/DLC/PNAC coalition, the battle to hold the line on the fascist advance goes on.

The next six weeks will get worse and worse for the troops and * must be tarred with the consequences by someone who can get the media eye.

Still, kinda embarassing for Kerry to use the 'reporting for duty' line now while the troops still die for oil.

9. Guess this is an indication of where the Campaign thinks the
2004 recount is! 2008 is on .2004 is over. I really wanted this to be different. I hope I am wrong!
