LAT: For Some, the Race Remains Far From Over (anon. Kerry Dem quoted)
For Some, the Race Remains Far From Over
Most have moved on since Nov. 2. But thousands continue to contest the presidential election results, with efforts focused on Ohio.

By Sam Howe Verhovek, Times Staff Writer

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Clifford Arnebeck won't let it go. He can't let it go. Not, he says, while America refuses to recognize that John F. Kerry was elected president Nov. 2.

Arnebeck, a Democratic lawyer here and co-chairman of a self-styled national populist alliance, is petitioning the state's highest court to throw out official results that favor President Bush and instead hand Ohio's 20 electoral votes — and thus the White House — to Kerry. Or, at least, order a revote.

The bid appears quixotic, to put it politely, as Bush has been officially declared the winner by 119,000 votes and Arnebeck is arguing before a Republican-dominated Supreme Court in Ohio. Nor is the Massachusetts senator helping him out, said Arnebeck....

(The article discusses charges of voter fraud and intimidation in Ohio, and Diebold.)

***

A Democrat close to the Kerry campaign, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Kerry had received plenty of "do not make this concession" advice from party members.

"It's not just the Internet conspiracy community," said the Kerry ally. "The every-vote-counts community is very strong inside the Democratic Party, and one does not want to discourage them."...

2. It ain't over til the fat lady sings.
Now that SOS Blackwell has locked down records in Ohio, he will certify Bush the winner this week and apparently in his mind the recount results will be moot.

I was just talking on Washington Journal on C-SPAN about election fraud since Florida 2000 and that John Conyers was, in fact, doing the people's business. And I was hung up on.

None of the media wants to hear it. And it's because John Kerry conceded the election and didn't ask for a recount. He's rolled over in spite of all the CTs all excited about imaginary goings-on behind the scenes.

And, quite frankly, unless this issue is resolved, our democracy will be rendered moot, and there is no point even pretending to hold elections.

3. Some can't fathom fraud
There are many people who simply cannot believe a national election can be rigged. This is the biggest problem right now. Otherwise we would have protests like Ukraine had. Perhaps this is why we haven't seen Kerry front & center on this. I have gotten the-all knowing she can't accept this- smirk from many Dems. Hopefully Arnebeck's info on Monday will clear up doubts and get everyone to demand action for a fair vote.

4. It can't happen here, people think -- they don't want to believe it...
and our leaders -- who work with, live next door to, and have kids in the same school with the cabal -- don't "get" what they are capable of, or the danger they represent. It's "politics as usual" to most of the people, press, and political leadership.

"Tell C-Span Cover the Election Voting Procedures Forum in Ohio on Monday"

Subject: Please Cover the Monday Election Voting Procedures Forum in Ohio

I would like to request that you air the Conyer's Hearings scheduled to take place on Monday in Columbus, OH. As a citizen, I am very concerned with the events surrounding the 2004 election and these hearings point to very serious charges of election fraud. We The People, want to see the evidence so I humbly request that you reconsider. There are millions of viewers that are more than a little interested in these historical hearings. Please do the right thing.

7. You are entirely welcome! :D Help spread the word if you can
Post it anywhere on the net, etc. Let people know even if they don't receive this until Monday - no problem. The coverage must build from the "wedge" Conyers is providing us. And even if they televise it on Monday, more emails will cause repeat airings.
