Supreme Court Hears Arguments in Governor Recount Case
Through all the counting and recounting in the closest governor's race in Washington state history, Republican Dino Rossi has held the slimmest of margins over Democrat Christine Gregoire - even picking up a few votes here and there as a tedious hand recount grinds on.

For the first time since, it looks as though the tide could be turning. Rossi won the Nov. 2 election by 261 votes, but saw that margin shrink to 42 votes after a machine recount of all 2.9 million ballots cast. As of Monday night, with 24 of the state's 39 counties completing their hand recounts, Rossi had gained 46 votes.

But in the democratic stronghold of King County, election officials announced Monday that they would count more than 500 ballots that were mistakenly rejected after the election - possibly enough to swing the election to Gregoire. King County Elections Director Dean Logan said workers did not count 561 absentee ballots because the signatures on them did not match computerized voter registration records.

Meanwhile, in response to a state Democratic Party lawsuit, the state Supreme Court has agreed to decide whether county officials will have to reconsider all of Washington's previously rejected ballots, including those thrown out because of voter errors such as failing to sign the ballot or missing a deadline to verify a signature.

1. DNC speaks out against OH recount
I was watching Faux News and Joe Andrew came out saying that the recount in OH has no basis and that no one in the DNC nor Kerry believes Bush lost OH but they will investigate irregularities from the election and they dont support the recount....Also the republicans said DNC should waste their money on more important things instead of the investigation. sounds to me that Faux found a rightwing dem to back up there "its official Bush wins OH" story and make it look like even the dems buy into the BS
