1. Did you see the part about the fascists? |
|
"About 350 people gathered Tuesday to show support for Rossi in front of the Supreme Court, at a rally sponsored by a conservative talk-radio station.
The crowd chanted "No more fraud!" They held signs saying "Welcome to Ukraine" and wore orange, a tribute to the signature color of demonstrators in Ukraine who protested a fraud-marred election there."
Why is it republicans don't even seem concerned about looking like Nazis?

why is it that you always compare reps to nazis. you do realize that the nazis were actually socialists in the truest western european tradition, it was hitler that made them the murderous bastards that they became.

10. They were not true socialists. The Nazis, as part of their |
|
desire to unify the fatherland believed, as the Kaiser did a generation before, that there "were no political parties...just Germans." They sought to co-opt the ideas from various parties to create something that Germans could embrace. AND THEY NEVER ACHIEVED THIS! 34% was the highest percentage of the vote they ever received. The ideas they co-opted included old age pensions, militarism, government paid vacations for workers, anti-birth control policies, Jew hating, rewards for large families, and banning elections.
What about that is Socialistic? Some sure, but by no means all.
For a true group of "socialists in the truest Western Tradition," try the German Social Democratic Party which battled with Nazi thugs in the street and were later outlawed by Hitler. Many of their leaders were executed by the Nazis.
Don't buy the label, check the facts. I might call myself a Democrat, but if my name is Zell Miller, I am in few ways a Democrat.
Also, the street rallies of mock outrage were a frequently employed technique of Nazi thugs. Did you see that auditor's office in Florida in 2000 with the screaming conservative mobs? My comparison is apt.

Who said it? Bush or Hitler?
"The national government will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality. Today Christians stand at the head of our country. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theatre, and in the press ... in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past few years."
Hmm... it was Hitler, but it just have well been Bushco during the 2004 election.
Don't kid yourself. The right has whipped this nation into a frenzy, and its waiting for the chance to cash in on this annuity. If you don't think that the right would object to gays and American muslims being thrown into their own Gitmo, then you are surely naive.

350 people rally and that makes the news. Meanwhile in Ohio and in Washington people hold rallys and hearings for weeks with hardly a peep from the press.
One word. Lame.

4. The only fraud in this election |
|
is the fact that Rossi tried to steal it. Now that Gregoire has won, the Republicrooks come out waving their little fascist signs.
Ever notice when Republicans cheat, lie and steal (genetic behaviour for them), their first response is to hold a rally and blame democrats for making them do it?

I was under the impression that NOT counting votes would be fraud, rather than actually counting them.

that they got immediate press. That in an article about an overturned election, they still got press for their "cause"?
Why can't people understand that when a party fights to not count votes, they probably don't care about the people....

It drives me nuts that the GOP has the media on such a short leash under its jackboot.
The real fraud story is in Ohio, but we only get crumbs, if that, from the national media.
The only thing that is being done in Washington is counting votes. That's it. Just counting votes.
The republicans feel entitled to everything, and that is why they whine. They are devoid of any sense of fairness.
