Saudis rebuke Libya over 'plot'
BBC News

Saudi Arabia has recalled its envoy to Libya over an alleged plot to assassinate Crown Prince Abdullah.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said that Libya's ambassador in Riyadh would also be asked to leave.

The alleged plot involved a prominent American Muslim activist who was jailed in the United States earlier this year for breaking a US embargo on Libya.

The crown prince has been de facto ruler of the oil-rich kingdom since his brother King Fahd suffered a stroke.
