Air Force Further Reprimands Top Lawyer
WASHINGTON - The Air Force's recently dismissed top military lawyer was reprimanded further Wednesday and ordered to forfeit some of his pay for carrying on inappropriate relationships and committing other violations of the military code.

Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Fiscus was cited for conduct unbecoming an officer, fraternization, obstruction of justice and violating a lawful general regulation, the Air Force said in a statement. He was punished outside of the court-martial process.

"The swift and strong actions of Air Force leadership make it clear that such misconduct will not be tolerated, regardless of the rank of the offender," the statement said.
...
Fiscus, an Air Force Academy graduate, had been the service's judge advocate general since February 2002. He had about 1,600 lawyers under his command.

2. This is a common situation with powerful men in many companies
and usually they justify to themselves that it's OK..

In some companies, he'd probably be promoted.

3. Think this has something to do with it?
Fiscus served as judge advocate general from February 2002 until he was relieved in September this year when the allegations against him came under investigation. As the Air Force's top lawyer, he oversaw the work of 3,200 employees, including more than 1,300 Air Force judge advocates. He also was one of the military attorneys who argued against harsh interrogation techniques approved by Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld in December 2002 for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

4. Ah, this was my first suspicion when I first read the original post
...he's just "not with the cabal", so they're gonna 'air his dirty laundry' and get him out of their way.

6. Yes, I (sorta) remember....
...the chaplain was exonerated of any/all charges in the end (if I'm remembering correctly). However, it attempts to 'teach a lesson' to brave souls and make them "once bitten, twice shy". At least that's what the cabal strives for it seems.
