Woman Drops Off Wrong Film Canisters Containing Cocaine
Technician Working In Film Dept. Spotted White Powder In Container

CUMBERLAND, R.I. -- A 17-year-old Lincoln teenager thought he was giving a relative a few canisters of film to be developed. But there wasn't just film in these containers.

He's now under arrest for possession for cocaine.

"An adult female dropped off two rolls of film to be developed," said Det. Richard Champagne of the Cumberland Police Department.

But the technician working in the film department of this Cumberland pharmacy spotted white powder in one of the containers.

2. the story has been changed since...
CUMBERLAND, R.I. -- A 17-year-old Lincoln teen faces a felony drug charge after dropping off a film canister containing cocaine at a CVS kiosk.

The teen dropped off two canisters at the Cumberland CVS on Sunday.

One contained film and the other, police later determined, cocaine.

The Times of Pawtucket reports Wednesday that the male youth was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

5. Especially since
if the school had a darkroom there would be no reason to take the film somewhere else to get it developed..

6. processing color is tougher
than processing black and white. You have stricter limitations on variations in water temperature, so I am told. I used to do B&W negatives, but never color.
