Clinton Thanks Staff at Westchester Hospital

Describing himself as "the personification of a grateful patient," former President Bill Clinton returned to the Westchester Medical Center here on Thursday to thank the doctors and other staff members for the care they provided when his heart disease was first diagnosed.

Mr. Clinton, looking slim and somewhat tired, told his doctors he was feeling well. "I told them I was really delighted I walked in here instead of coming in a wheelchair and I'm even more delighted to be able to walk out," he said.

Mr. Clinton, 58, first arrived at the medical center in September after complaining of chest pains. An angiogram showed several severely clogged arteries. Mr. Clinton recalled being shown "this really ugly picture of all this blockage I had."

i know he is the type who just loves to work all the time and be involved in many things. but i do hope he takes it easy .

7. Here he is, just back from an Arab Forum about the future of

the area in 2020, doing the little human things that I so admire him for.

He wasn't perfect, but he has a real humanity that is sorely lacking with the crew we are stuck with.
