Venezuela and China sign oil deal
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has offered China wide-ranging access to the country's oil reserves.

The offer, made as part of a trade deal between the two countries, will allow China to operate oil fields in Venezuela and invest in new refineries.

Venezuela has also offered to supply 120,000 barrels of fuel oil a month to China.

---

In 2004, according to forecasts from the Ministry of Commerce, China's oil imports will be 110m tons, up 21% on the previous year.

5. It strains the imagination trying to picture a Republican on a bike....
It's probably too isolating: they are too far away from their pack of pigs: no one to comfort them when they see minorities, or poor people. Poor, poor things.

Venezuela's joining with Colombia to construct the big pipeline to carry that oil to the port to ship to China. This is going to enrage Republicans who have imagined we own Colombia, since they have sent so many billions of our tax dollars there in order to buy Uribe, and previously, Pastrana. Maybe they'll have Uribe whacked to send a message to any country still open to influence from them.

9. They've already started practicing....

but it's a little too tricky for some of them.

US President George W Bush rides his bike at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, July 26, 2004.

Why would anyone wear a helmet on his own property, where there's no traffic? Gotta protect that giant brain?

For the especially "me first" Republicans!

17. That's probably why they ridiculed John Kerry during the campaign
because Kerry isn't spastic. They probably wanted to make people see him as a clown so no one would remember how unusually clumsy, and non-athletic Bush is.

You wonder if they put a helmet on him before he sits down for his evenings of pretzel binging.

Attempted pretzel suicide?

8. Venezuela to Give China Greater Oil Access
Venezuela to Give China Greater Oil Access

Fri, Dec. 24, 2004
Associated Press

...

China is eager to secure new sources of energy for its booming economy, which is struggling with power shortages. Venezuela wants to find new customers to reduce reliance on the United States, its No. 1 market but also a critic of Chavez's six-year-old government.

"We have been producing and exporting oil for more than 100 years but they have been years of dependence on the United States," Chavez said at a meeting of Venezuelan and Chinese entrepreneurs. "Now we are free and we make our resources available to the great country of China."

Venezuela sells 60 percent of its crude oil exports to the United States. The deals with China will not mean any reductions of those exports in the short term.

Venezuela and China agreed to jointly develop Venezuelan oil fields, with Chinese companies invited to explore for oil off Venezuela's northern coast and set up oil refineries along its Orinoco River.

10. Bush's pigheadedness, if gone unchecked, will see us
lose Venezuela as a source of oil. If Venezuela can find other markets to fill the gap can you blame them? I don't remember exactly but I think Venezuela supplies one-third of the US's imported oil.

Bush is such a stupid bastard, besides being a corrupt and murderous one.

18. These morons have to go...
If Bu$hco holds power much longer we are fucked! Must we wait until the proof of their evil is (to quote Condi) a nuclear mushroom cloud?
I am convinced these people are insane and would not hesitate to launch if cornered. And cornered is what they increasingly are. Their Iraq crusade is blowing up in their faces and the world is starting to fight back.
They have loyalty to no flag other than the Jolly Roger.

19. The biggest mistake in the history of American foreign policy. (Venezuela)
Published: Thursday, December 30, 2004
Bylined to: Bob Chapman

International Forecaster: The biggest mistake in the history of American foreign policy...

THE INTERNATIONAL FORECASTER editor Bob Chapman writes: On November 10, Russia took the lead role in coalition with China, India and Brazil to challenge the super-power supremacy of the US.

The footprint of Russia and China on South America has begun.

Brazil and Venezuela are very open to the coalition concept where these large countries support each other in terms of trade, economics, international politics and defense. This coalition is composed of 75% of the world’s population and 80% of its natural resources.

Iran is about to join the coalition due to their US$200 billion energy deal with China.

Brazil and Venezuela can no longer be pillaged at will, nor any of South America.
We also believe that in 1½ years when Pan and Fox are out of power in Mexico, in spite of NAFTA, there begin a shift toward the new coalition.

In the future, when US elitist interests attempt to overthrow governments and assassinate their leaders, the US can expect retaliation and retribution. Fortress America, the one-world concept of a United Canada, US, Mexico, Central and South America is dead, as is FTAA.
