CONCORD -- The Motor City Madman is officially turning Texan.

Michigan rocker and hunting activist Ted Nugent says he plans to get a Texas driver's license soon. He said in a phone interview Wednesday that he officially will become a Texas resident in 2005, after moving his family to Crawford, Texas, about a year and a half ago.

<snip>

Nugent, who said he supports President Bush "100 percent," said his new home is "right around the corner" from Bush's ranch. Nugent said he is working with the Texas fish and game department, where he writes for a state publication on bow-hunting.

7. What does Nugent and Bush have in common?
Both lived lives of excess, "cleaned up" (debatable), and now spend time passing judgment on others who do the same things they spent their youth doing.

Glass houses.

I hate people like this. "Do as I say, not as I do." What a bunch of crap.

Oh, and Nugent saying he never did drugs? I never, ever, ever believed that one, not for a second.

9. I remember several years ago when I was flipping through the
AM radio stations and I landed on Thrushed Limpdong's show. He was referring to Ted Nugent as a dope smoking, long haired, maggot infested so and so. A few minutes later Ted Nugent called into his show and was spouting all of his right wing nonsense and all of a sudden Thrushed Limpdong started referring to him as a Super Crooner. Those people have no shame!

16. There was thorough idiot pageant process and Ted was declared
the Crawford Village Idiot unless the original fails to return by January 20, 2005. Ted is the runner up currently serving in place of the winner - we are unable verify as all votes were electronically recorded...

12. Texas doesn't have state taxes and Michigan does
My SIL and her hubby set up residence there after they sold their home in California during the time they bummed around the country in their posh RV.
Unless something has changed or I missed something with my SIL's reasoning I'm sure that had something to do with Nugent's move. Not to mention he's a colossal asshole and wants to be near the asshole that's squatting in our White House. Some people love to be with the 'winning' team no matter the cost.

15. Jeez, guys, give us Texans
a break here! I admit my beloved home state has the dubious distinction of being the place * calls home---BUT HE AIN'T NO TEXAN!!! He was born in Connecticut, went to some private school in Houston (he wouldn't last 30 minutes at Midland High), cheerleader at Andover Academy, Yale. This doesn't in any way represent what true Texans are. And having lived here since 1947 (outside 1 year in New Orleans) I remember what Texas was like before so many country club Republicans started moving here (like his daddy) in the 1970's. Damn near ruined a perfectly good state! As for Nugent, other than being another asshole Texas doesn't need, who gives a shit what he does? Long as he doesn't do that cacophony he calls music!

21. Sorry, montieg...no breaks for Texas. You overwhelmingly support *.
I was born and raised in Texas. My family has been in TX since the 1860s. I've lived all over the state, and have family in Waco (near Crawford).

Bush* is now a part of Texas' history. Period. Is he a fraud? Yes. Were your observations about Bush*'s history true? Yes.

Does that let Texas off the hook? Nope. You have the same information that I do. I've told every single member of my family and my friends in Texas the exact details you said and they shrug it off as sour grapes. It's that texas hubris.

I'm glad a sane person lives there (you), and I'm sure it must be difficult. Good luck with convincing Texans to believe the truth.

30. Thanks for the good
karma, but it's gonna be a long fight with a short stick. "Part of Texas' history."? Damn, that's hard to choke down. But I will say that even out here in west Texas, * managed to get apathetic Dems aroused and motivated enough to have a Dem Party HQ for the first time in 30 years! Found out my bumper sticker (Designated Democrat) wasn't exactly right!

I've always thought he was conceited gun-lovin war-mongerin asshole.

He used to live near Jackson, a prison town 30 min. west of Ann Arbor (GO BLUE!) and had his own local radio show for a short while.

Says alot about him considering he's moving to Crawford.

Ted will have free Jesus Metal concerts in Crawford. Heck, if you're lucky, he might even fornicate with your wife while you watch in your trailer park. What could make a true Bush supporter more happy than to see Mr. Cat Scratch Fever (located in Walgreens bargain bins everywhere) boink your pudgy Jesus freak wife...

Go to Crawford, Ted. Whatever you do though, buddy, don't find out what Bush plans to do to nature reserves and other places where you like to hunt. You might not be able to face facts that you've been duped and lied to.
