2. ROTFLMAO!!! Rummy + MSM, Stupider Than Ever!
Insurgents Are Mostly Iraqis, US Military Says

U.S. military officials said the core of the insurgency in Iraq was — and always had been — Hussein's fiercest loyalists, who melted into Iraq's urban landscape when the war began in March 2003. During the succeeding months, they say, the insurgents' ranks have been bolstered by Iraqis who grew disillusioned with the U.S. failure to deliver basic services, jobs and reconstruction projects.

It is this expanding group, they say, that has given the insurgency its deadly power and which represents the biggest challenge to an Iraqi government trying to establish legitimacy countrywide.

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0928-21.htm

But as we all know, Rummy NEVER bothers to actually listen to anyone, and the MSM's job is simply bushCartel stenographer.

And some day, even the incredibly ignorant duped conned moran bushbots will be unable to hide from the FACT and REALITY that their bush-god & Cartel are nothing but a bunch of total fools.

I highly doubt that any amount of slick PR will get them to go for that.

11. I've come to appreciate
Rummy! He may be an idiot, but he's a predictable idiot. You can actually figure out what he's saying, if you pay attention. Same thing with the rest of this incompetent administration.

Note, last week Bush gloomily admitted that "the situation looks bleak". For the first time, he's acknowledging that the insurgents (the Iraqis!!) are having an effect. The insurgents have vowed to kabosh the upcoming "elections" there, and Bush has just found out it's going to be a "non-starter" like Ari Fleischer used to say.

Now watch little Mynah bird RumsFool start chattering. Now he wants the Iraqis themselves to "defeat their own insurgency". Why? Because we can't do it?

This is the latest "solution" on the horizon. William Kristol (the Godfather of the PNAC) has been urging the Iraqis to do their own policing. He wants them to have their own police force, their own army to take care of their own troublemakers.

And why now, at this late stage in the game? Because we're failing at it? Why did it take 1,300 lives and $270 billion dollars to figure this out? Because they're stupid, that's why.

14. Yep. It's not "our" failure...it's "theirs"
We aren't fighting "Iraqis"...we are fighting "those who oppose Iraq"

or more to the point...we are "aiding" the "new Iraqi government" in "their" efforts to combat "anti-Iraqi" forces. So if Iraqis don't want it enough...it's on them...not us.

The mind reels.

They really are "transparent" (and predictable) once you understand their thought pattern.

13. It will be the Iraqis' fault if the insurgency is not defeated.
It's not our fault. The Iraqis were supposed to do it. We did our part. They didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

We did what we could. The Iraqis just did not want democracy enough. They didn't fight for it, etc.

That's the translation. We can't fail. We will not be responsible. If Iraq is a hellish turmoil for eternity, it will be because the Iraqis were responsible. We weren't.

Rummy, the senile, says we must. OK. Sounds as logical as any plan any of the Bush administration has put out.

21. Hey Rumsfeld: YOU break it - YOU own it ...
Iraqis didn't create that chaos. We decided to invade a country that was no threat to us. We apparently had no vision and no plan on what to do after Saddam was removed. It is not their problem, it is ours. That is what happens when you elect incompetent morons to lead a superpower.

It's brilliant!!

Okay, now let's go home. Ain't our fault!! We did great. It's those damn Iraqis who won't kill themselves!! :eyes:

23. And an unfortunate analogy;
"Faced with a chore like digging a ditch, a typical American, he said, will grab a shovel and start digging. In Iraq now, however, the task is to step aside and get the Iraqis to dig their own ditches."

Just bad in several ways.
I guess I'll spell them out:

1. Image of Iraqi's digging ditches (holes) for their dead.
2. We dug them into a hole, and now they have to dig themselves out?
3. Suggestion that we are bailing out (good and bad).
4. We step aside and what, supervise?
