Bookies list 'Blair to go' odds
BBC News

Bookmakers have published odds on the likelihood of British prime minister Tony Blair standing down in the next 12 months, alongside other 2005 bets.

Mr Blair leaving his position in 2005 is available at a top-priced 7-2 with bookmakers Labrokes, while he is 14-1 to survive past 2010.

But odds of him growing a moustache in 2005 are 66/1 with William Hill.

Bookies' crazy wagers in 2005

By Daniel Thomas

FANCY an odd flutter? Then try some of the strangest wagers of 2005.

Forget the chances of the next election being a close shave - you can get 66-1 on Tony Blair growing a moustache during the year.

Mind you, bookies William Hill say that's just as unlikely as George W Bush doing the decent thing and quitting as President.
